The GLEE Report
How seriously does each government measure wellbeing?
The question
Many governments say they care about wellbeing. Fewer measure it, and fewer still use what they measure. The GLEE Report grades that machinery: how each government measures wellbeing and what it does with the results.
Collect
Research agents search each government’s own sites and documents without seeing the rubric, record what they could not find as well as what they did, and keep every page they read. The universe covers 537 governments: every UN member, US states, Canadian provinces, Mexican states, and the largest cities on Earth.
Analyze
Each of 25 items, in five categories from community involvement to public reporting, is graded from the sources alone, twice, with a third reading from an evidence brief. Disagreements go to a stronger model, and every quote is checked against the page it came from.
Present
Every government gets a report card with its sources, a confidence rating, and the programs that earned its credit, alongside rankings, category winners and side-by-side comparisons.
