Can we estimate how happy a census tract is without surveying it?
The CDC PLACES method, multilevel regression with poststratification, pointed at wellbeing instead of health. Immutable identity variables are deliberately excluded, and the estimates are labeled for what they are: synthetic, composition-driven, and measured against their own ceiling before anyone trusts them.
